"Lose weight"... is it possible that on a subconscious level people fear "losing" or "loss" ?
Q. fear of losing or loss results in people not being able to "lose" weight? Is their any evidence you can think of that might support this? Thanks :-)

A. Yes it's true. I know of someone who lost alot of weight in the summer but didn't realize how much until "fall" came and she tried on her jeans. They practically fell right off her. She got scared but didn't know why and immediately started eating as before. She said that it was as if she became a different person and she didn't like it.

But, if you are only planning on losing 25 pounds I wouldn't consider this extreme. Extreme would be anything over 50-75 pounds and even then the stretch marks would be minimal. Extreme weight loss more is for people looking to losing over 100 pounds in most situations and often times you will see many of these people with stretch marks. The most important thing is a new healthier body!

I've hit a weight loss "plateau". WANT to lose 10 more lbs in a month, what more to do?
Q. I've lost 10lbs easily in 1 month with a good diet and little to no exercise. This time I added exercised to my diet and I can't seem to lose anymore weight. Your grandmother needs to consult with her doctor. weight LOSS is a sign of majorly out-of-control diabetes. if your grandmother is "non-compliant" (not following doctors orders concerning diet and exercise) then the Glipizide may not be working, and her diabetes is getting WORSE.

how long until "muscle weight gain" turns into "fat weight loss"? please help!!!?
Q. I am a 22 year old female, 5'3" and 140 lbs. I have an adrenal/cone/apple body type, (36/29/35). My legs are pretty much pure muscle (used to be a jock). I have been on a sensible diet for months (50% carb, 15% fat, 35% protein), and have lost about 20 lbs in the last year. I am a vegetarian, but I get plenty of protein (thru soy, dairy and seafood). I track my food online daily and keep a VERY meticulous record of everything that goes in my mouth. Since I burn off between 500 and 800 calories a day through exercise, I end up consuming between 1400 and 1700 calories a day, which I know is a sensible range to lose 1-2 lbs a week. Q. I am a 22 year old female, 5'3" and 140 lbs. I have an adrenal/cone/apple body type, (36/29/35). My legs are pretty much pure muscle (used to be a jock). I have been on a sensible diet for months (50% carb, 15% fat, 35% protein), and have lost about 20 lbs in the last year. I am a vegetarian, but I get plenty of protein (thru soy, dairy and seafood). I track my food online daily and keep a VERY meticulous record of everything that goes in my mouth. Since I burn off between 500 and 800 calories a day through exercise, I end up consuming between 1400 and 1700 calories a day, which I know is a sensible range to lose 1-2 lbs a week. A. A couple of points: 1. if you really want to just burn off the fat, get off the machine and go outside and do that High Intensity Interval training. Skip all other forms of cardio. 2. do the slow intense 70% near max on your weight training. This is really right up my ally:
